Netflix Customer Service Comes to Oregon

As an Oregon resident, I was very excited to hear that Netflix was opening up a customer service division in Oregon.  I am hoping that this will increase the speed of turn around on my Netflix.com DVD movie rentals . I am not saying that Netflix shipping time is bad now.  I get most of my Netflix DVD movie rentals within a week. Netflix says it chose Oregon for expansion because of the high quality of customer service representatives in the Portland area.  I don't know how true that is.  I do know that labor costs in Oregon are less than other parts of the country. "Plus, the folks in Oregon and Netflix share many values of honesty, candor and an appreciation for creativity and innovation," says Netflix Chief Talent Officer Patty McCord.  Thanks for the complement Patty.

Netlifx New DVD Rental Commerical Review

I like to listen to Yahoo! Launch.  In between music videos, I see a lot of these new Netflix movie DVD rental promotion commercials.  I don't care for this new Netflix promotional campaign. The new Netflix DVD movie promotion seems very childish to me. "The new creative refreshes the national campaign that brings to life both the Netflix service and the enjoyment of movies," said Neve Savage, vice president of marketing for Netflix. Well, Neve if your Netflix promotion marketing goal was to have those dumb character voices repeating over and over again in my head, your Netflix promotional campaign worked.  I do understand that repetitiveness is necessary to get a promotional advertising message to potential new Netflix DVD movie rental customers. Neve, next time please choose less annoying voices and characters.  The actors and actresses sound like the ones you see and hear on car dealership TV commercials.  There is nothing funny about these new Netflix DVD movie rental promotional commercials.  The new Netflix promotional campaign doesn't motivate me to subscribe to the Netflix DVD movie rental service .  They don't motivate me to refer a friend to the Netflix DVD rental service .  They don't motivate me to rent movies online from Netflix. In fact, the new Netflix TV commercials insult my intelligence. Netflix, save the silly stuff for the kids.  Netflix, market to me like I am an adult.
